Insurance FAQs

What are Doctors Auerbacher and White's fees for an eye exam?

Our Comprehensive Eye Exam without insurance is $140. We are Participating Providers for almost all Major Medical Insurance Carriers and Vision Care Companies. Bring your insurance cards to our office and our staff will help identify your benefits. Usually your specialist copay is what would be necessary for you to pay. We'll submit your examination to the insurance company for you. Our emphasis is to maximize your insurance benefits you work so hard for.

How much do Eyeglasses cost?

Eyeglass costs vary based on the brand of frame chosen, type of prescription, special lens needs, and other factors. The insurance companies will typically have a predetermined percentage discount or an allowance associated with your particular plan. The sales associate working with you is fully knowledgeable with all the insurance companies and will explain your benefits as they relate to your selections.

What are Doctors Auerbacher and White's fees for a Contact Lens Exam?

Our Basic Contact Lens Exam without insurance starts at $190. There are two components to a contact lens exam. The comprehensive eye exam which will determine your eye health and prescription. The second part is the actual contact lens fitting. With respect to the examination, we'll use your best copay benefit option. Concerning the fitting fee, coverages vary according to your specific plan and insurance company. Once again, our staff will determine your best benefits prior to being seen by either Dr. Auerbacher or White. Our goal is that you have no surprises in our office and you're happy with our service to you.

Does Pearle Vision Route 17 Accept VSP Insurance?

Yes we do. All we ask is for you to log onto your VSP account and print out your benefits. Bring them in and we'll honor your in-network benefits for both the doctor and the store.

Do I need an appointment for an exam or to purchase glasses?

There's never a need for an appointment to come into our store to purchase eye wear. And, while we happily accept "walk-ins" for exams, we recommend making an appointment to allow you to be seen most efficiently.
